[Exhibition Recap] Chuwei Technology Showcases Its Self-Optimizing Production System at Automatica 2025, Munich

2025.07.01 Announcement

From June 24 to 27, 2025, Chuwei Technology participated in Automatica 2025, the leading international trade fair for automation and robotics held in Munich, Germany.

At booth B5.526, Chuwei unveiled its latest innovation in smart manufacturing — the Self-Optimizing Production System, a flexible and learning-based production architecture that drew strong attention from manufacturers and system integrators from across Europe, Japan, and Southeast Asia.

Exhibition Highlights: Adaptive Processes × Smart Flexibility × Real-Time Optimization

The showcased system integrated an ABB collaborative robot with the B&R ACOPOStrak 6D magnetic levitation transport platform, combined with modular workstations and Chuwei’s proprietary control software.

The live demo simulated real-world smart factory scenarios such as multi-product mixed-line production, dynamic scheduling, and automated good/defect sorting.

By combining machine vision, data feedback, and scheduling logic algorithms, the system demonstrated Chuwei’s deep expertise in flexible manufacturing and workstation optimization, as well as the results of our long-term partnerships with ABB and B&R.

Live Demonstration: From Manual Challenges to Intelligent Production

Through a real-time demonstration, visitors could clearly observe the transformation from manual operations to a smart, self-deciding production line:

  • Traditional workflows rely on human operators for visual inspection, product sorting, and packing.

  • Chuwei’s system automates inspection, classification, packaging, and line coordination with precision.

Workpieces moved freely and rotated precisely on the magnetic levitation track, while the robotic arm executed each task with accuracy — showcasing exceptional adaptability and real-time responsiveness.

Key Technology Integration

  • ABB Robot: High-speed precision handling and visual positioning

  • B&R ACOPOStrak 6D: Six-degree-of-freedom magnetic levitation transport, eliminating traditional track constraints

  • Control Architecture: Supports OPC UA / MQTT for seamless connection with SCADA / MES / ERP systems

  • Workpiece Traceability & Scheduling Module: Enables self-learning and real-time production path optimization

The system supports flexible line changeovers, multi-product switching, and mixed-line traceability, making it ideal for high-variation manufacturing environments such as medical consumables, biotech packaging, electronics, optics, and consumer goods.

Strengthening Our European Presence

The exhibition was organized and hosted by Chuwei Europe (Netherlands), which provides local technical support and customized integration services for clients across the region.

Chuwei will continue expanding its European operations, helping more partners accelerate their smart manufacturing transformation.
